Frequently asked questions

How do I create an account?

Download MyHomeBase Manager from the App Store or Google Play (coming soon), open the app, and tap Sign In. You can sign in with email, with Google, or (on iOS) with Apple. The first time you sign in we'll create your account automatically — no separate sign-up step.

The app then walks you through a short onboarding flow where you add your first property. You can add more properties any time from the home screen.

How do I delete my account and data?

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will delete your authentication record, every database row scoped to your user ID, and every photo or document you've uploaded within 30 days, and confirm by email when it's complete.

Self-service deletion from inside the app is on the roadmap; until it ships, the email path above is the canonical method.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services in the us-east-1 region, encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+. Every API call is scoped to your authenticated user ID, so one person's data is never visible to another. Photos and documents live in a private S3 bucket and are fetched via short-lived presigned URLs.

We don't run third-party analytics, don't show ads, and never sell your data. (We do collect anonymous, first-party feature-usage analytics on our own infrastructure to understand what's useful and improve the app — see our Privacy Policy for the full picture.)

What devices are supported?

MyHomeBase Manager runs on iPhone (iOS 16 or later) and on Android phones (Android 10 or later). It also works in a web browser at app.myhomebasemanager.com (coming soon) for desktop access. iPad and Android tablet support are on the roadmap.

How do the AI features work? Is my data sent to an outside service?

When you tap an AI feature — Identify by Photo, Home Health Score, Estimate Cost, the AI Advisor chat, and similar — the relevant text or photo is sent through our backend to Anthropic's Claude API, which generates the AI response. Per Anthropic's API terms, those inputs are not retained beyond the immediate request and are not used to train their models.

We never send your authentication tokens, and we only send the data you specifically invoked the AI feature on — never your full account or photo library.

How much does MyHomeBase Manager cost?

MyHomeBase Manager includes a 7-day free trial on every plan — after that, a subscription is required. Pricing scales with how many properties you track:

  • Home — $5.99/mo or $59/yr for 1 property
  • Multi-Home — $9.99/mo or $89/yr for 2–5 properties
  • Portfolio — $16.99/mo or $149/yr for 6–10 properties

You can cancel any time from your device's subscription settings — during the trial or after.

Is there a limit on how many AI features I can use per day?

Yes — a daily limit protects against runaway costs from a compromised account or a bug, not from normal use. Limits scale with your plan: Home gets 40 AI calls/day, Multi-Home gets 100/day, and Portfolio gets 200/day. "AI calls" covers anything that invokes Claude — Identify by Photo, Home Health Score, the AI Advisor, Estimate Cost, and similar features.

If you hit your limit, the app tells you exactly how many you've used and that it resets at midnight UTC. Need more? Email [email protected] with "AI limit increase" in the subject and we'll take a look.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email [email protected] with "Bug report" in the subject line. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and what you expected. A screenshot or screen recording is gold. We'll respond within one business day, often the same day.

How do I contact support?

Email [email protected]. That's the fastest way. We don't have a phone hotline — we'd rather spend the time fixing what you wrote in than running a call center.
